Mary was born in Bellingham, WA to Nicholas and Faye Bergen on July 18, 1929 and passed away in Mount Vernon, WA on August 10, 2022.
She graduated from Bellingham High School in 1947 and was married to Ramon “Ray” Tuttle on April 12, 1959. Together they raised five children in Burlington. Ray preceded her in death in 1976. In 1986, she married Raymond Clemens and they lived together in Sedro-Woolley where they shared 15 wonderful years before he passed away in 2001.
Mary was a skilled gardener, loved taking photos, and was a fantastic cook. She often referred to Heaven as “the great kitchen in the sky.” A longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, the Lord was very important in her life.
Survivors include her sister, Gloria (Richard) Williams; children Nick Tuttle, Teresa (Troy) Fields, Maggie Potter, Tom Tuttle, and John (Kristen) Tuttle; step-son, Richard (Judy) Clemens and step-daughter, Joan (Rick) Codiga; grandchildren, Rashele (Leila) Clark, Shay Clark, Dain (Megan) Potter, Dalton Potter, Cheyanne Potter, McKenzie Otis, and Jantzen Tuttle; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
Viewing to be Tuesday, August 16 from 1-3pm at Westford Funeral Home in Bellingham, with the Rosary beginning at 2pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 17 at 10:30am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 719 Ferry St. in Sedro-Woolley, followed by a graveside service at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham.
