Mary Louise Johnson, age 90 of Bellingham, WA passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2017. Mary was born to Martin and Clara (Schneider) Willick in Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada on May 1, 1927. She graduated high school in 1944 and earned her nursing degree at St. Paul’s in Saskatoon in 1949. Mary moved to Bellingham in 1951 and married Robert E. Johnson on June 9, 1952, and together they raised 15 children. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital for 30 years, and was a long-time member of Church of the Assumption. She was very active in the Catholic Daughters, and was past secretary for the Assumption School Parents Organization. Mary enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert E. in 2006, son-in-law Steve Aubert, and great-grandson Seamus Meehan. She is survived by 15 children: Pat (Rich) Meehan, Donald, Karen, Lynn (Don) Snell, Richard (Peggy), Bill (Debbie), Katherine Coventry, Ed, Theresa (Brian) Flanery, Mike, Kris, Cindy Aubert, David, Gregg (Tawnya) and Tim (Monica). She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, a few great-great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends. A Vigil Service will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Thursday, July 6th at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption at 10:30 am on Friday, July 7th followed by a reception at the church. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
