Mary E. Pressentin, age 89, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born January 29, 1924 in Edmonton, AB to Evelyn and George Shaw.  In 1942 she married David Hall Simpson and they moved to Bellingham in 1956.  She worked at Morse Hardware for over 30 years.  In 1981 she married Robert E. Pressentin.  Mary loved traveling with Bob in their motorhome around the country.  She and Bob were members of the American Clipper Club and enjoyed square dancing for many years.  Her greatest pleasure was spending time with family and friends.  Mary was always the life of the party.  She loved flowers, gardening and collecting anything related to chickens.  Most of all she loved her home where she lived for over 55 years.  She was preceded in death by husbands David Hall Simpson and Robert E. Pressentin, son David William Simpson, granddaughter Reanne Simpson and brother Lewis Shaw.  She is survived by her children Patricia Lynn (Paul) Sires and Randy (Jan) Simpson, grandchildren Mark (Jen) Sires, James (Debbie) Sires, Bill (Wendy) Sires, Laura (Scott) Mellema, David (Rachel) Simpson, Dean (Karrin) Simpson, Lewis (Maggie) Seutz, Don (Sonia) Seutz, Brian (Laura) Seutz, Craig (Colleen) Seutz and Kevin (Belinda) Seutz and Tania (David) Boyce, over 20 great-grandchildren, sisters Laura Perley, Vi Manteuffel and Kathy (Don) Sires, sister-in-law Elaine Shaw, cherished friends Roger and Judy Cash, and many loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Thursday February 14 from 5-8 PM.  A service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at 1 PM on Friday February 15th at Christ Evangelical Church, 4600 Guide Meridian St. in Bellingham. Reception following. Memorials may be made to Christ Evangelical Church.
