Mary J. (Stewart) Brough

May 29, 1932 — May 30, 2017

Mary was a lifetime resident of Bellingham’s Geneva area. She was the previous owner of the Beaver Inn with husband Tom and at age 50 started a 34 year career with Yorky’s Market. Mary loved family gatherings and outings with friends and was a member of a pinochle club that was formed with other graduates of Bellingham High class of 1950, which is still active. She was preceded in death by parents Anthony and Eva Schinner, brother Anthony Jr., daughter Linda Stewart, granddaughter Amy Washburn and husbands Tom Stewart and William Brough. Mary is survived by her son Ronald Stewart (Julie), granddaughter Alli Mitchell (Tyler), grandson Timothy Stewart (Angela), grandson-in-law Merritt Washburn, and seven great-grandchildren. She and her partner Dan Earley recently spent four wonderful months together vacationing in Lake Tahoe. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice, 2901 Squalicum Parkway, Bellingham, WA 98225.
