Maurice P. Lafreniere

Maurice Pierre LaFreniere, 86, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022 in Bellingham. He was born in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada, on March 25, 1936, to Joseph Frederic and Velda Mary (Haskell) LaFreniere. Maurice was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing (he loved to tell stories about the one that got away). He enjoyed gardening and had a spectacular garden. Maurice and his brothers owned and operated L & L Glass in Bellingham, later in Everson. Maurice was preceded in death by his parents; daughters Kelly LaFreniere and Linda Stiles; sister Bertha LaFreniere; and brothers Henry, Hector, and Fred LaFreniere. Maurice is survived by his children Louise LaFreniere, Kathy LaFreniere, Anna Marie LaFreniere, Janis Souleret, and Michael LaFreniere; brother Mort (Irene) LaFreniere, and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 30th at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ferndale, (5781 Hendrickson Ave.). Reception will follow at the church. Graveside committal at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham.
