Melva Clemenson, age 66 went to be with her Lord on September 4, 2011. She had been diagnosed with lung cancer in March of this year. Melva was born January 25, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio. Melva’s faith was central to her life and she has been an active member of Christ the King Community Church in Bellingham for years. She was a loving wife and mother and the foundation of her family. She enjoyed travel, camping, dancing, gardening, Sunday drives and motorcycle outings. Melva was fun-loving, witty, friendly, and open with others. Melva is survived by her husband of 35 years, Randy, daughter Randi Clemenson, sons Scott Bierne and Daniel his wife Yukie Clemenson, mother Wilda Nichols Munroe, sister Beverly and her husband Lowell Jonson and their sons Michael and John, and a loving extended family. A Celebration of Melva’s life will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 9th at 10 AM followed by a reception at the American Legion Post #7, 1688 W. Bakerview Rd. in Bellingham. A graveside service will follow at G.A.R. Cemetery in Snohomish, WA. Memorials in Melva’s name may be made to your favorite cancer charity.
