Merolin Costello, age 82 of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2015. She was born May 18, 1932 in Bellingham to Peter and Rosa Costello. Merolin graduated from Bellingham High School in 1950 and retired after working as a telephone operator for over 30 years. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Known as “Mimi” to her family, she actively participated in many of the family special occasions and holiday gatherings. Merolin enjoyed going out to lunch and shopping with her best friend Lillian. She was preceded in death by her brother Tripo his wife Ragnhild Costello and sons-in-law Greg Easterling and Rick Miller. She is survived by her best friend, who was more like a sister, Lillian Baker, brother George Costello, nephews and nieces Rob (Linda) Costello, Mark (Debbie) Costello, Patti Easterling, Michelle Miller, Mike (Jane) Costello, Marcia (Tony) Zankich, Milissa (Fred) Miller, Martin Costello and Margaret (Von) Smith, and many loving relatives and friends. A Vigil will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 7PM on Sunday, January 25th. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 AM on Monday, January 26th with a reception following at the church. Burial will follow at Bayview Cemetery. Fr. Joseph Altenhofen will be officiating. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
