Myrtle went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2014 peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born in Eholt, B.C. on June 7, 1927 to Violet and Harold Caron and raised in Trail, B.C. and Rossland, B.C. The family moved to Bellingham in 1948. She met Patrick Taylor and they were married September 22, 1951 at Revival Tabernacle in Bellingham by Pastor L. White. She dedicated her life to the Lord's work at an early age, taught Sunday school, acted as a young people's leader, ministered in churches and missions, attended P.C.B.S. in Vancouver in 1947, sang in choirs, helped in youth camps, children's crusades, child evangelism and neighborhood clubs, volunteered at YMCA special swim classes for 3 years and attended karate classes. She made quilts with the help of her mother and gave them away as gifts to family members, to missionaries and pastors, sent boxes off to Japan, Africa, India, and Formosa with materials for children's work. Whatever she found to do, she did it and gave them as gifts, stuffed animals and dolls, plaques, paintings, etc. She is survived by a beloved son, Ron Taylor and grandson, Michael Taylor, sisters, Betty Larson, Irma (Arne) Oien, brothers, Ed (Dorothy) Caron, Roy (Carmen) Caron and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick, and by her parents. We want to thank Rev. Rick and Verna Qualls and their family, Fountain Community Church, and very good friends and neighbors, Mike and Linda Gammon, who have been helping us along the way. Myrtle's one aim and goal in life was to "Lift Jesus higher for the world to see, for He said "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me." Services were held in Bellingham.
