Norman Catanzaro, age 86 of Bellingham passed away June 8, 2013 in Bellingham. He was born August 20, 1926 in Fruitvale, ID to William Jones and Ethel Baker and later adopted by Jacob Catanzaro and Elizabeth Smith. He married Barbara McHugh on October 7, 1950 in Pocatello, ID. He graduated from Midvale High School and served as a paratrooper in the US Army during WWII. He worked for Bechtel Corporation on various projects throughout the United States and settled in Whatcom County working as the Materials Manager at Intalco Aluminum for over 20 years. Norman was known as a loving father, devoted husband and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Norman was preceded in death by his sisters Ladonna and Carol. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 63 years, children Paul (Belinda), Cindy, Michael and Penny; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister Nadine, brother Lee (Elaine), and many loving relatives and friends. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2925 James Street in Bellingham on Thursday, June 13th at 1 PM.
