Patricia Lorene Hedman

Patricia L. Hedman, age 84 passed away on April 26, 2015. She was born March 7, 1931 in Aberdeen, WA to Aino and Aile Hill. She graduated from Aberdeen High School and earned her Associate Degree at Grays Harbor College in 1950.

Pat met and fell in love with Don Hedman, and they were married June 23, 1951 in Aberdeen. She and Don moved to Seattle soon after, and eventually made a final move to Bellingham, WA. Pat was a stay at home mom to her three children until she joined the workforce at Western Washington University in 1970. She retired in 1993. Pat was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don of 58 years in 2009. Pat is survived by her son Don (Kathy) Hedman Jr., daughters Linda (Jeff) Jaquish and Janet (Tom) Clark; step-daughter Karen Appier; 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 11 AM on Saturday, May 9th. Memorial donations in Pat’s name may be made to Whatcom Hospice or the Whatcom Humane Society.
