Raymond S. Loughlin

Ray Loughlin, age 67, passed away unexpectedly in Bellingham on Thursday, July 13, 2017. He was born January 23, 1950 in San Jose, CA, to Chris and Helen Loughlin. Ray graduated from St. Francis High in Mountain View, CA and earned his B.S. at San Jose State University, where he met Pat McDonald. They were married on June 24, 1972 in Carmel, CA. Ray worked as a painting contractor in the Bay Area for 42 years. Ray, Pat and their daughter Dawn enjoyed their summers on Lummi Island. After retiring in 2014, Ray and Pat spent more time on Lummi and visiting Dawn in Seattle. He loved socializing, helping others, crabbing, woodworking, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Pat, daughter Dawn, brother Gordon (wife Carol), sister Ann Marie Massa (husband John), and his companion dog Lulu.
