Rena Rae Catlow Browne

Our beloved wife, mom, sister, Nana and friend passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Rena was born January 19, 1945 in Mount Vernon, WA to Bill and Cleora Catlow. She graduated from Bellingham High School in 1963 and attended UW and WWU. Rena married Ron Browne on September 25, 1965 in Bellingham. She retired from the Ferndale School District after working for 12 years as a para-educator. Rena and Ron have resided at Sandy Point since 1970, where they have enjoyed the sunsets, crabbing, boating and hosting family parties. She will be remembered for her unique laugh and her sharp wit. Her loving disposition will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter-in-law Dawana Browne. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ron, daughter Joanne Browne and her sons Tyler and Nathan, son Scott Browne and his daughters Logan and Blakely, brother Bill Catlow, and many loving relatives and friends. Rena’s family would like to thank Hospice and the private caregivers who helped in her final days. A service of remembrance will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Thursday, April 20th at 1 PM.
