Richard Bourm, age 63, passed away peacefully in Bellingham on September 24, 2018. He was born August 20, 1955 in Bellingham to John and Gloria (Hillyard) Bourm. Growing up in a family of four boys was always an adventure. Some of his favorite times were looking for the next adventure with friends, playing mud football in Fairhaven Park and hanging out at home playing sports in the backyard with friends. Richard graduated from Sehome High School in 1973. Working through high school gave him strength and determination to later move to New Mexico to broker seafood. He was an expert skier and guitar player and he loved European cars. After years of struggles Richard moved back to Bellingham to continue his business. Even with his health difficulties he was able to help his mother during her last years. He also reached out to others to help them with their needs. Richard was tough and fought a strong battle until the end. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gloria. He is survived by his three brothers, Bob (wife Kelli), Roger (wife Shannon) and John Jr. (wife Denine), nephew Evan, nieces Matina and Allyse, and many loving relatives and friends. A family gathering will be held.
