Richard Lee Clearman

Richard Lee Clearman, of Bellingham, WA, passed away at his home on July 10, 2021. He was 86, born in Bremerton, WA on October 23, 1934 to Loretta (Higbee) and Floyd Lee Clearman. Rich graduated in 1954 from Ephrata High School, earned his accounting degree at the University of Washington, and earned his MBA at City University in 1978. He served in the US Army and taught classes at City University, worked for Boeing for several years then retired in 2004. Rich married Barb McFaul in 1990 and she passed away in 2018. Rich was an active outdoors man, climbing Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Olympus, Mt. Shuksan and Mt. Bachelor. Rich loved steam trains and served as treasurer/board member of the Bellingham Railroad Museum. He is survived by his sons Kevin Clearman (Marilyn Peisar) and Brent Clearman, grandchildren, Michael and Andrea, and great-grandson Nicholas. Rich family would like to thank the Veterans Association and Hospice for making his end of life comfortable. Please contact friends and family for celebration of life planned for July 25th.
