Dick Plank, age 90, passed away peacefully in Bellingham on Friday, September 7, 2018. He was born May 10, 1928 in Bellingham to Willis and Gladys (McGillivray) Plank. Dick was a star baseball pitcher at Bellingham High School and later played for the Bellingham Bells. He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Patricia Van Keulen, and they enjoyed fifty-five years together in Bellingham, and later Sun City, AZ. Dick worked was a career electrician at Georgia-Pacific in Bellingham. He was talented with his hands and he could build and fix anything. Dick and Pat enjoyed many happy times traveling with the grandchildren and friends in their motorhome, camping, golfing and enjoying the great outdoors. Pat passed away in 2003. Dick later married Shirley Farwell-Plank and they spent many years in Arizona and Bellingham. He is survived by his wife Shirley Farwell-Plank, children Rick Plank (wife Patty), Jane Lusk (husband Steve) and Scott Plank (partner Corina Hardin), grandchildren Tim, Graham, Annie, Gretchen, Kristi, Jamie, Steven and Karl, 11 great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends.
