Richard Charles Tobias was born on September 12, 1937, to parents Joseph & Genevieve Tobias in Chicago, IL. He passed away peacefully on October 28, 2023.
Richard married Marian Johnson on June 4, 1966. He was a high school biology teacher for 35 years, retiring in 1997. Richard graduated with his Doctor of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado. After retirement, they moved from Eagan, MN to Bellingham, WA to be near family.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Cheryl Tobias. He is survived by his wife Marian, his children Timothy Tobias (wife Tamara and children Jacob, Ryan, and Elena), and Denise Romero (husband Richard and children Hailey and Joseph), his siblings Thomas Tobias and Charlotte Martinson (husband Roger), as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 3rd at 10:30am at Church of the Assumption in Bellingham.
