Robert P. Andrews

Robert P. “Bob” Andrews was born June 2, 1936 in Bellingham, WA to Robert E. and Frances Andrews. He passed away peacefully on October 5, 2023.

Robert graduated from Bellingham High School in 1954. After graduating, he joined the Navy where he served for 20 years. While in the Navy, he met a nurse from Connecticut, Laurian Richter, and they were married November 30, 1957. Their son John was born October 19, 1958. They spent time at duty stations in Virginia, Florida, Scotland, and Florida again before Robert was sent to South East Asia. In 1971 the family relocated to Bellingham. After retiring from the Navy, Robert worked at Gibbs Pathology Lab for many years. He worked as business manager for Church of the Assumption and then for St. Joseph parish in Ferndale. After retiring he enjoyed spending time in his yard and garden.

Robert is survived by his son John (Marie) Andrews, three grandchildren Robert (Corey) Andrews, Chris Andrews, and Shannon (Parker) Mathews, three great-grandchildren Lenny, Brewer, and Owen. He is also survived by nephews Brian Andrews, Brian Mann, Harold Mann, and Michael Mann, nieces Patty Andrews, Linda Casey, and Sarah Burke, and sister-in-law Jean Andrews.

A Vigil Service will be held at 5:00pm on Thursday, October 12th at Westford Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, October 13th at Church of the Assumption, with reception following.
