Robert Bergquist

Robert Bergquist, age 93, of Bellingham passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021. Bob was born to Gunnard and Mary Bergquist in Wyandotte, Michigan on May 26, 1927. After graduating high school, Bob served in the US Navy. He went on to work as a purchasing agent in the glass and aluminum industry. He married Margaret Hathaway in 1955. Margaret and Bob lived 25 years in Edmonds, WA, where they raised their two children, Eric and Krista. They spent many wonderful weekends and summers at their Vashon Island cabin. After Bob retired they enjoyed traveling and cruising around the world. He also sung in several barbershop choirs. In January 2000 they moved to Bellingham to be near their children and grandchildren. Bob will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. His wife Margaret passed away in 2016. Bob is survived by his son Eric (Diane) Bergquist; daughter Krista (Daryl) Johnson; grandchildren Brian (Kanki), Brittany (Caleb), Maria, Rebecca, Alisha (Jacob), Stephanie (Graham), Anneli, and Noah and great-grandchildren Evelyn and William.
