Vigil Service: Thursday, September 30 at 7 PM at Westford Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, October 1st at 12 noon Church of the Assumption.
Burial: Following Mass at Bayview City Cemetery
Reception: Following the Burial at Westford’s Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway.
Bob Lorenzo, age 86 of Bellingham, made his last set from the St. Marguerite at 4:00 AM on September 21st, 2010. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a 2nd Class, Boatswain’s Mate on the USS LST 18 during WWII. He was a career commercial fisherman, both in Bellingham and in Bristol Bay, Alaska. Bob built and flew several of his own gliders, and was a member of the Vancouver Soaring Association.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret, and his son Perry L. Lorenzo of Seattle. Bob is survived by numerous loving family members, friends and his little black kitty.
Vigil Services will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Thursday, September 30 at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption on Friday, October 1st at 12 noon followed by committal with military honors at Bayview City Cemetery. A reception will follow at Westford’s Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice House, 800 E. Chestnut St., Suite 1-A, Bellingham, WA, 98225.
