Robert J. Spady

Robert J. "Bob" Spady went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2017. He was born on February 18, 1938 in Bellingham, WA to Joseph and Norma (Hicks) Spady. He graduated from Bellingham High School and worked as a firefighter for the Bellingham Fire Department for 21 years. He also worked for several years at Walton Beverage and Merchant Supply. Bob served in the US Marine Corps from 1955 to 1961. He was a member of Northlake Community Church for many years. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Norma Spady and his sister Betty Bittner. He is survived by his children Eric (Leah) Spady, Alan (Maria) Spady, and Melissa Gudde, mother of his children Mary Spady-Doucette, brother Don (Candace) Spady, sisters JoAnn (Jack) Mallock, Diana (John) Broadstan, Leann (Bruce) Gilbert and Sandra (Mike) Glick, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, his good friend Linda Smith as well as many other loving relatives and friends. He enjoyed hunting, camping and scenic road trips to the mountains and the ocean. Bob especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends over a good meal and dessert. Anything made of chocolate was his favorite. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Friday, November 17th at 11 am with a reception following at Northlake Community Church.
