Ron William (Willy) Jones was born on May 22, 1972 to Ronald (Butchy) Jones and Carol A. Hesselgrave in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He attended elementary and junior high and senior high school in Colorado Springs, Colorado and at age 25 he moved to Bellingham to be closer to his mother, Carol. Ron is survived by his aunt Jessie Warren, his two sisters Katrina Liebendorfer, Cindy Roman, his two brothers George and David Hesselgrave, his cousin Kari Whitman and his beloved dog Wiley. Ron was loved very much.
Ron grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his father Ron Sr. He enjoyed cars, sports and metal music. Ron was very proud of his cars. He frequently would talk about the restoration projects he wanted to do. During the Summers Ron would travel to Bellingham, Washington to spend time with his Mother Carol and his sister Cindy Roman. Ron and Cindy built a house with their mother in Everson, Washington. When Ron moved to Bellingham, he and his sister Cindy moved in together. Ron loved music and he was a huge fan of rock and metal so they would frequently go see local artists and listen to music. Ron started working for the Slo Pitch Sports Grill and Casino in 2002. He worked there until his untimely death on April 6, 2018. If you asked anyone about Ron they would say he was nice, caring, he would listen to anything you had to say and if he could find a way to help you he would. He had a great sense of humor and a kind heart. Ron will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Ron was a strong supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project.
