Rosemary Majors Holmes born on August 2nd, 1946 and passed on Thursday, July 6th, 2017 in Tacoma, Washington. Rosemary was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her parents Shelley and Lillie May Majors also resided in New Orleans. Rosemary graduated from McDonough 35 High School in 1965 and attended Belle Chase Community College, graduating in Cosmetology. She later became a Correctional Officer in Washington State, and then the Pierce/Mason County Sheriff. She was preceded in death by her late husband Willie C. Holmes. She also leaves behind her twin sister Rosetta Foster and first cousin Wilma Baker, her three children, Tracey, Treneicia and Torrance Holmes, their wives Rosevic and Sooleoso Holmes, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Rosemary left a permanent imprint on the lives she's touched through her acts of kindness and compassion. A gathering to celebrate Rosemary’s life will be held at Westford Funeral Home, 1301 Broadway Street in Bellingham, on Saturday, July 22nd, at 12:00 noon. Share your memories of Rosemary at
