Rosetta Wood, age 92 of Bellingham, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014. She was born November 4, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY to Robert S. and Rosetta K. Purvis.
She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Wood in 2011. She is survived by her children Anne Rohning (Frank), Susan Del Rosario, Mary Kuehnert (Kurt), Jane Thompson (Daniel), Jack Muchemore (Jettika), Scott Wood (Barbara), Susan Wood, and Spencer Wood (Deann) and sister Betty Power (Robert). Rosetta and John were blessed with 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Jeanette McDougal, Rosetta’s caregiver and faithful friend, and Dr. Harry Herdman, who cared for both Rosetta and John for many years.
Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice. A Celebration of Rosetta’s life will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 11 AM on Saturday, February 21.
