Ruth Ellen Brown

Ruth Ellen Brown, age 91 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. She was born December 10, 1922 in Stonington, IL to Henderson and Carrie Watson. Ruth graduated from Illinois State University in Normal, IL and earned her M.A. from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL. Ruth was a devout Christian. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Orville Brown in 2012 and son Orville Jerome “Jed” Brown in 2010. She is survived by her daughter Sherrie Brown Alwood (husband Darrell Alwood), grandson Shane Martin, granddaughter Zoe Kapan, great-grandson Cameron Kapan and many loving relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 11 AM on Monday, November 3rd. A reception will follow.
