A long life, well lived - Ruth Miller passed away peacefully, having enriched so many people’s lives. Born and raised in Fertile, Minnesota, she married her first husband, Dick Wills, who died suddenly in 1943, leaving her with a young baby. Several years later, she met and married Ed Miller, had four more children and enjoyed a full life in Poughkeepsie, NY. Ruth learned the joy of volunteering and the fun of playing bridge, skills she used for her whole life. Ed died suddenly in 1970. She then spent 34 happy years in San Diego, CA, and traveled to more than 60 countries. Age caught up with her, and she spent her final 15 years enjoying her life in Bellingham, WA. Ruth was surrounded by a large extended family and friends her whole life. She leaves all who knew her with memories of her energy, fun, wisdom, daring and love.
Ruth was predeceased by her husbands, Dick and Ed; siblings, Clark, Marie, and Morris.
Her loving family cherishes her memory: Diana Wills (Sacramento, CA), Janet (Bellingham, WA), Eric (Carlsbad, CA), Marie (Chuck) Luttrell (Coquitlam, BC), and Fred (Milissa) (Bellingham, WA); 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
