Samuel Frank Stapleton, age 89, was an awesome soul who blessed us with his existence. He left our world on May 28, 2024.
Frankie was born on November 12, 1934 in Paintsville, Kentucky and lived a life full of adventure from a young age. He was a beacon of light and hope in the world and touched the lives of many as a professor, an attorney, a father, a grandfather, a brother of 9 siblings, and as a friend to all.
Frankie left his mark in this world in many ways. He served his country as a Marine during the Korean War. He received several awards as Teacher of the Year at Eastern New Mexico University and continues to hold national powerlifting records in the U.S. He loved to travel and had been all over the world.
He is survived by his brother Paul, daughter Samantha, grandchildren Lucas and Charlie, as well as his son-in-law, Steven, for whom Frankie had a special place in his heart.
Frankie will be remembered for his ability to see the best in others and his legacy lives on in each of us as we remember the way he lived life: with integrity, heart, and unconditional love for all. Our family was so blessed to spend the last few years with Poppa living with us in Bellingham.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 25th at 10:30am at the Church of the Assumption in Bellingham.
