Sarah E. Sebat

Sarah Sebat, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2015. She was born February 3, 1925 in Danville, IL to R. Stanley and Ada Mires.

Sarah lived in Danville, IL until moving to Bellingham, WA to be closer to her niece Sarah Spinks. Sarah enjoyed helping others, and has been a longtime supporter of Catholic Schools and her family’s higher education. Sarah was gracious, kind, and had a “million dollar smile.” She was preceded in death by her husband John E. Sebat and her sister Mary M. Johnson.

Sarah is survived by her niece Sarah Spinks and her children, Christopher (Melissa) Spinks and their son Wesley, and Robin (Christopher) Green and their sons Henry and Winston. She is also survived by step-daughter Lillie Criss (Robert) Firebaugh and family, step-son Dr. Frank (Linda) Sebat and family, and many loving relatives and friends.

Memorials in Sarah’s name may be made to Whatcom Hospice or the charity of your choice.

A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held at Westford Funeral Home in Bellingham, WA on Saturday, January 2nd at 10 AM. Reception following.
