Sharon Baughman

May 30, 1938 — September 14, 2010

5/30/1938 – 9/14/2010
Sharon Kay Baughman, age 72 of Bellingham, WA, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on September 14, 2010. She was born in St. Maries, ID, on May 30th, 1938, the third child of James and Itha (Willard) Moran of Plummer, ID.  Both the Morans and the Willards were pioneer families of Plummer. Sharon grew up in Plummer and graduated from high school in 1956.  She married her high school sweetheart Glen Baughman on June 3rd 1956.  Glen and Sharon settled in Fairfield, WA, where Glen was a barber. As a team they raised three children. Sharon was very involved in their school activities, Flag Day Programs, and the First Presbyterian Church. These activities created many lifetime personal friendships. In 1976, Sharon and her family moved to Bellingham, WA. Her greatest joy in life was being a “wife” and “mom.”  She was kind to others and unconditionally loved her family. As the matriarch of the family, she was ALWAYS there for us. She loved dancing, music, family dinners, traveling by train, holidays, gardening, camping, fishing, bingo, and family sporting events.  She was feisty, independent and had a strong moral and spiritual life.
Her family includes husband Glen Baughman, son Kelly (Kathy) Baughman, daughter Jodi (Gene) Rempel, son Marty Baughman, grandchildren Bradly (Heidi) Baughman, Chris Bryan, Marissa Rempel, Jacob Baughman and Melissa Baughman (deceased).  She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Gene Moran and her sister Lois Way. Sharon will be greatly missed by many friends and a large extended family.
Services will be held in Fairfield, WA at a later date.  Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice, 800 E. Chestnut St., Suite 1-A, Bellingham, WA 98225.
