Shirley Alexander, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2016 in Bellingham. She was born August 5, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA to Arthur and Edith Case.
Shirley was an active and faithful member of Garden St. United Methodist Church. In earlier years she was a member of the Daughters of America, Mt. Baker Navy Mothers, the New Horizons Group, and she volunteered for R.S.V.P., Garden St. United Methodist Church and Alderwood Nursing Home. She also participated and helped at Woodway Senior Living with their activities.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Emery (1993) and daughter Virginia Dee Ross (1998). She is survived by her son Lyle (wife Jeanine) Alexander, daughter Alys Morgan, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother Arthur Case, sister Lesley Matson, and many loving relatives and friends. Her family would like to thank the caring staff at Woodway Senior Living and the Rehab staff PeaceHealth St. Joseph.
Visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home from 2-4 PM on Thursday, February 4th. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Garden St. United Methodist Church on Friday, February 5th at 2:00 p.m. Reception following. Rev. Terry Hall will be officiating.
