Steven Frank Alba

May 12, 1955 — December 13, 2023

Steven Alba, age 68, passed away at his home in Lynnwood, WA on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

Steve graduated from Burlington-Edison High School in 1973 and resided in various areas in the Pacific Northwest, including Everett, Marysville, Mount Vernon, Burlington, Bow, and Bellingham. He worked in several different career fields including the Shell Oil Refinery in Anacortes and Georgia-Pacific in Bellingham.

In his youth, Steve was larger than life with solid shoulders and what seemed like super-human strength. Behind that power he had a very kind heart that was best demonstrated when he cared for his wife Susan during her two difficult bouts with cancer. Losing Susan to cancer was something he never recovered from, the wounds of that loss were too unbearable to mend.

In his free time, Steve loved sports, most notably Seattle Seahawks games, enjoyed classic rock like Bob Seger and ZZ Top, and liked watching science fiction like Star Trek. Steve was generous, spoiling his kids Tim and Mike with all the video games, trips to the movie theater, nights out at restaurants, and all the shopping at the mall they ever asked for. It’s comforting to know he’s no longer suffering from the ailments of this world, but his passing will forever dull this shining moment called life for those that loved him.

Steve was preceded in death by his wife Susan Van Sinderen Alba, his mother Helen Alba, and his brother Richard Jenkins. He is survived by his sons Tim Alba and Mike Alba, sister Robyn Alba, and brother Jim Jenkins.

A remembrance service will be held at a later date.
