Theodore (Ted) Norr, age 94 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. The 5th of 10 children, he was born in Pierz, MN on July 5, 1919 to Robert and Florence Norr. He married Katherine (Kay) Clay in 1941 in Evanston, IL. Ted served in the US Army in the South Pacific during WWII and participated in five invasions. After the war they settled in Tacoma and moved to Bellingham in 1954, where he worked as an auto mechanic and service manager. He was an active member of Northwest Baptist Church, served for over 60 years at the Lake Retreat Church Camp, and was a Scoutmaster of Troop 23 for many years. After retiring Ted and Kay traveled North America and wintered in Mesa, AZ. Ted was preceded in death by his wife Kay in 1998. He is survived by his son Terry Norr; daughter Nancy (Bill) Jones; grandchildren Jason (LuAnn) Jones and their children Miranda, Gabe and Maureen; Kassandre Jones and her sons Joby and Jake; Lisa (Wes) Wertman and their children Jesse, Curtis, Kerrin, Brianna and Wyatt; Hans (Joy) Norr and their children River and Avia; and Anthony (Charissa) Jones; brothers Dick, Al and Don Norr, and many loving relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Northwest Baptist Church on Friday, August 2nd at 2 PM followed by a reception.
