Vernon F. Chapin, of Bellingham, WA, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 in Bellingham. Vern was 85, born in Bellingham on September 24, 1930 to William “Bill” and Ruth (Harksell) Chapin.
Vern was a logger for many years. He also worked at Brooks Manufacturing and later worked at Gundie’s Auto Recycling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Roger, daughter Rita Mulka, his brother’s, Billie, Don, and Dwaine and sister’s Emily McCauley and Ruth Chapin. Vern is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Betty”; children, Ron (Fran) Chapin, Rebecca “Becky” (Bob) Jordan, Rayme (Donna) Chapin, Ramona “Mona” (Dennis) Steele, Richie (Freida) Chapin, Rudy (Liz) Chapin, Rojean “Jeannie” (Denny) Hughes, and Rhonda Toner; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; half-brother Joe (Kim) Chapin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held, 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 15th at Westford Funeral Home with a reception following.
