Vincent Paul Spinelli

Vince Spinelli, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Bellingham, WA. He was born on February 20, 1925 to Paul Michael Spinelli and Laura Salvatrice Adorno in Meriden, CT. After graduating high school Vince served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Vince worked as an engineer in the defense industry until retirement. He married Eleanor Luanne Walker on January 12, 1952 in Silver Spring, MD and together raised their family in several states on the east coast. The family settled in Bremerton, WA in 1966. Vince enjoyed traveling, shooting pool, playing cards, and spending time in the Arizona sunshine during the winter. Vince was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Luanne, in 2014 and son Vincent Paul. Vince is survived by his daughter Laurie (Jim) Pendergast; sons Paul (Vicki) Spinelli and Philip (Kathy) Spinelli; 11 grandchildren Andy Pendergast, Julie (Travis) Kearin, Kimberly Pendergast, Justin (Maggie) Spinelli, Adrienne (Jim Wysocki) Spinelli, Evan Spinelli, Nathan (Aimee) Spinelli, Carmen Spinelli, Anna Spinelli, Lainie Spinelli, and Elli Jo Spinelli; three great-grandchildren Frederick Spinelli, Britta Spinelli, and Vincent Kearin; siblings Theresa DiPersio, August Spinelli, Laura Fox, and Pauline Erling, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9th at Faith Lutheran Church in Bellingham. Committal with military honors will follow at Enterprise Cemetery in Ferndale.  Pastor Sharon B. Swanson will be officiating. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
