Violet T. Renne, age 92, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2013 in Bellingham. She was born May 13, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY to Frank and Stephanie Travaglia. Violet was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being in the limelight with her singing and modeling. She also enjoyed international travel. She was an active volunteer with the Lions Club, PeaceHealth St. Joseph Women’s Auxiliary, and helped to manage the Wise Buys Thrift Store in Bellingham, which benefits Lydia Place. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Darrell, son Scott Renne of Bellingham and his daughters Corinne, Adrienne and Julienne, son Grant Renne, and many loving relatives and friends. A Celebration of Violet’s life will be held at Hope in Christ Church, 710 E. Sunset Drive in Bellingham at 11AM on Tuesday, April 23rd. A reception will follow at the church. Burial will follow at Greenacres Cemetery in Ferndale. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice.
