Virginia "Ginger" Lasalle

Virginia “Ginger” R. LaSalle passed away peacefully at her home in Sedro Woolley surrounded by her loving family on October 2, 2020. She was born on July 11, 1941 in Bellingham to Edward Schmidt and Rose (Johnson) Drachenberg.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Dorothy and her step-brother Roger. Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Roland, her daughter Ronda LaSalle-Meadows, sons Sjon LaSalle and Jed LaSalle, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren as well as several cousins, aunts, uncles and many loving friends.
Ginger was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the babies and children of this world which led her to open and run her own daycare in her home for many years. She retired in 2015 and closed her daycare and went on to finish her years doing some traveling and just being happy living at home with her spouse, children and grandchildren.
Family Services were held. Memorials may be made to His Place Church in Burlington, WA. Memo line on checks should read “Phillippine Orphanage”.
