Wendell W. Larsen of Bellingham, passed away on January 30, 2015. Born on August 30, 1920 in Blanchard, WA to Gerhard and Hattie Larsen. He grew up in Blanchard graduating from Edison High School.
After his service in the U.S. Army, he returned to Bellingham marrying Theda M. York in 1945. Wendell had a long successful career in the bread business working with the restaurant and grocery industries. He was a member of B.P.O.E. #194, Lion’s Club of Bellingham, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
A gentleman with a strong work ethic, quiet demeanor and welcoming smile, he delighted in his multitude of life’s joys and endured its trials with grace. He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents and brother, Fred M. Larsen.
Forever he will be an inspiration to his daughter Paula Jo (David) Peterson, grandchildren Matthew (Julie) Peterson, Lindsay (Hans) Christiansen and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 nephews and nieces.
