Yasuko Pruitt, age 82, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. She was born November 26, 1935 in Hakodate, Japan. Yasuko married James Pruitt in Japan and they moved their two children to the U.S. in 1960. The family followed James’ military career and lived throughout the U.S. Yasuko worked as the general manager of Boundary Fish Company in Blaine until her late 70’s. She enjoyed playing softball, bowling and was an avid Mariners and Seahawks fan. In earlier years Yasuko and her husband James loved to dance and belonged to the Eagles and the American Legion. Yasuko was kind, helpful, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Yasuko was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Pruitt in 1984. She is survived by her daughter Mary (husband Bill) Brown, son Albert Pruitt, sisters Kazuko Yokoyama and Nobuko Kitahama, and many other relatives in Japan.
