Yvonne M. Scheving, of Bellingham, WA, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 in Bellingham. Yvonne was 92, born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on May 4, 1924 to Sylvere and Mary Rose (Bastarach) Arsenault.
She lived for many years in Seattle and worked as a nurses aid at the Anderson House in Shoreline. During World War II she worked in an ammunitions factory making bullets. After the war in 1947, Yvonne married Arthur Scheving, who was in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a rear tail gunner in a Lancaster Bomber. Shortly after the war they moved to Seattle and raised two sons, Jack and Garry. In the 1960’s she was the captain of the bowling team for Lake City Bowl that won many championships.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Scheving in 1976 and is survived by her sons, Jack and Garry Scheving; daughter Linda Duff; four grandchildren; her brother Larry Arsenault and her sisters, Laurida Martin, Nell Martens and Doris Slattery.
